About
Home School University
Home
School University was founded by parents who were in
the process of home schooling their two boys. They
wanted to provide a learning environment for other
parents who were home schooling as well as to
provide for the students normal interaction with
other students, while maintaining the integrity of
home schooling.
We are a
Christian school. Our founder is a Pentecostal
minister, and we strongly hold to traditional
conservative Christian values. We do not permit
promiscuity or foul language. We promote holiness
according to God’s Word, the Bible.
Home
School University does not replace home schooling.
The fact that the parent is the primary educator and
is responsible for their child’s education is a very
strong belief of our administration and faculty.
You, as the instructor, are responsible for your
student’s success. The parent must review homework
assignments and may augment said assignments as he
or she feels is necessary.
As for
the student, his or her assignments must be turned
in weekly, HSU instructors may or may not accept
late assignments, depending on the type of course
being taught. Attendance in the classes is
mandatory. Students will not receive credit for
missed classes except for illness with a doctor’s
excuse. Since we are GAC accredited, we must follow
strict guidelines for attendance and assignments.
We at
HSU try very hard to make education at our school an
enjoyable and rewarding experience, but we need the
parents to make it work. You have a responsibility
to your student to uphold our standards. As a team,
our staff and you, can make your child’s education a
success.
